Then keep folding up edges till it's completely wrapped. Start by folding up a small edge, while using your other hand to keep the filling in the center and creating a tight fold. This can be the intimidating part, but it's really not that difficult! The avocado acts like a glue to hold the tortilla down, but I also tested a few without avocado and the crunchwrap still held together. Then add shredded lettuce, chopped tomatoes, and some smashed avocado. Place a crunchy tostada on top and spread a layer of plain Greek Yogurt. Start by layering the refried beans, ground beef, hot sauce (optional), and finely shredded Mexican cheese. Add a drizzle of Sriracha and then top with ¼ of the taco beef. ![]() I suggest assembling the crunchwrap on a cutting board so you have a work surface. Take 1 of the large flour tortillas and place 2 ½ slices of American cheese in the middle of it. Cook for a few minutes on each side until the exterior is firm, crunchy, and golden brown. Place in a hot oiled skillet, seam side down. Fold in the edges of the tortilla toward the center. You'll need a Burrito size flour tortilla and one crunchy tostada. Layer: tofu, queso, crunchy stuff, and any other extras you want in there. This packs in some extra protein and creaminess. The other swap I made is using plain Greek yogurt instead of sour cream on the tostada part. Spread tostada shell with sour cream, then add tomatoes, jalapenos (if using), lettuce and end with the shredded cheese. I like my beans extra creamy and run then through the blender with some of the cooking liquid. To get that same creaminess, I used my peruvian refried beans as the base of the crunchwrap. With archery deer season having started in most states, those empty freezers should be getting full soon.Taco Bell's Crunchwrap Supreme doesn't have refried beans, but uses nacho cheese sauce. It turned out great! Honestly axis deer is so mild that if you gave this Crunchwrap to some random person on the street there is almost no chance they’d know it’s venison. Add 1/2 a white onion, chopped, and 3-4 cloves of minced garlic into the skillet and cook them down until the onions become translucent. Now that I have some axis deer, I was finally able to do it! I used my LEM Big Bite #8 grinder to grind the axis deer into ground venison for my recipe and used the LEM Max Vac 250 Vacuum Sealer to store some of the extra ground venison for later fun recipes! Step Four: Place a taco sized tortilla overtop the lettuce and tomatoes. Then, top each one with shredded lettuce and tomatoes. Re-roll wrap and then cut in center diagonally. Gently unravel wrap to add some lettuce, red onion, etc. Carefully remove wraps from grill and place on a plate. Grill for 3 to 5 minutes, or until grill marks and golden-brown. Step Three: Carefully spread about 1/4 cup of nacho cheese sauce to the top of each tostada and spread 1/4 cup of sour cream on top of that.
